This roller coaster is a carnival rendition of the Dinosaur ride located nearby. In an interesting twist (no pun intended) the ride features free-spinning cars that spin as they travel along a twisting track of tight turns and sharp drops.
There is a 48" minimum height requirement.

Avoid visiting between 11:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m
FASTPASS
It is not advisable to get a FASTPASS for Primeval Whirl until you've obtained a FASTPASS at Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Kali River Rapids (if riding) as those attractions get longer lines making the FASTPASS more helpful.

The directional signs around the coaster are painted on old automobile license plates.
One the dinosaurs is holding a sign reading, "The end is near."
A little detail to notice is the difference between the paintings of the scientists near the boarding area and unloading area.
