Animal Kingdom - Primeval Whirl
This roller coaster is a carnival rendition of the Dinosaur ride located nearby. In an interesting twist (no pun intended) the ride features free-spinning cars that spin as they travel along a twisting track of tight turns and sharp drops.
There is a 48" minimum height requirement.
||Most young kids are not tall enough to ride this attraction, or are scared of it.
||This ride is popular among kids who enjoy roller coasters.
||The ride is popular among pre-teens and teens who enjoy roller coasters.
||Adults may find the carnival atmosphere to be off-putting, and some find the ride to be too rough and jerky for their tastes.
||Not recommended unless you're a roller coaster enthusiast.
When to Go
Avoid visiting between 11:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m
It is not advisable to get a FASTPASS for Primeval Whirl until you've obtained a FASTPASS at Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Kali River Rapids (if riding) as those attractions get longer lines making the FASTPASS more helpful.

- The directional signs around the coaster are painted on old automobile license plates.
- One the dinosaurs is holding a sign reading, "The end is near."
- A little detail to notice is the difference between the paintings of the scientists near the boarding area and unloading area.
