Animal Kingdom – Expedition Everest

Animal Kingdom – Expedition Everest

On Expedition Everest guests ride aboard trains for an exploration through the Himalayas. Unfortunately, the yeti is very protective of the mountain and is determined to keep humans off of it. Upon reaching a set of broken train tracks, riders are sent on a roller coaster ride around the mountain side with a final confrontation with the yeti himself.

In terms of a thrill factor, Expedition Everest is more intense than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad but not as intense as Rock ‘n Roller Coaster. There are no moments in the ride where guests travel upside-down.

There is a 44″ minimum height requirement.

When to Go

Not surprisingly, Expedition Everest attracts huge queues all day long. To avoid the longest lines visit the first hour the park is open or in the last two hours before park closing.

Expedition Everest offers FASTPASS which is often the best way to experience it without a long wait in line. Make sure to grab one early though, because FASTPASS tickets are sometimes gone before early afternoon.
