There are several companies who will deliver groceries right to your hotel room. They each have minimum orders, usually around $50, and they do charge a deliver fee. However, it can be well worth it if you don’t have to spend $50 a person at dinner every night.
Stick to Water at Sit-Down Meals
It’s true at every restaurant that soda can cost quite a bit, but there’s nowhere that’s truer than at Disney World. At a sit-down dinner you could pay as much as $4.00 for a single glass of soda. Stick with water and save a bundle.
Get Ice Cold Water – For Free!
Many people don’t realize that you can get free water at any counter service restaurant – without making a purchase! Not only will they give you a paper cup with cool, refreshing water, but they’ll refill your water bottle, too. This can be quite time consuming during peak meal times, so try to get hydrated before 11:30 am, between 2:00 to 4:30, or after 7:30.
Don’t Get the Disney Dining Plan
Too often families will pay more than they need to in order to stay on Disney property just so they can get the Disney Dining Plan. At almost $60 per adult, per day, there’s no question you could eat for less on your own dime. Plus, kids 10 and over are considered adults.
Remember that you can bring any food you want into Disney World, and can even bring soft coolers. A family of 4 who followed the above tips for their 5 day trip could save hundreds of dollars versus eating at Disney restaurants for every meal.
