What you need to know before you go:
This event begins in the afternoon and requires a special ticket. Select attractions in the Magic Kingdom will be open all evening, so in addition to great music, you can also get to enjoy your favorite rides and attractions without waiting in long lines.
This is a popular event, so you should book your tickets well in advance. Nights of Joy at the Magic Kingdom are family friendly, with great music and fellowship, and a fun introduction to live music for younger kids and teens.
Expect to pay just over $50 for one night or about $95 for both nights if you purchase your tickets in advance — if you wait until the night of the event, you will pay about 20% more for your tickets — and you may miss out on the event entirely if it is sold out.
If you are not attending this event, then you should choose another theme park destination for the evenings of September 7 and 8, since the Magic Kingdom will close early to host the Night of Joy.
