Animal Kingdom – Kilimanjaro Safaris

You came to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see animals, and that’s exactly what you’ll see when you experience this safari attraction. You climb in an open-sided Safari truck to see Antelope, giraffes, zebras, baboons, rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, lions, hippos, and other animals roam freely. The best time to experience Kilimanjaro Safaris is in the morning or late afternoon because that’s when the animals are most active.

There is no minimum height requirement.

This attraction is intended for all ages. It is a slow ride but it is the main attraction at Animal Kingdom.

You will travel over all types of terrain and the ride can get a little bumpy along the way.

Age:	Attraction Review:
ages 2-4	The ride in the truck can be a little bumpy as the roads are not paved and the truck has to cross numerous bridges. Some younger children do not like the bumpy ride.
ages 5-10	This is one of the main attractions at Animal Kingdom and it is a must see attraction.
ages 11-15	Pre-teens and teenagers really like the Kilimanjaro Safaris, it is one of the main attractions at Animal Kingdom.
ages 16-adult	No need to go to Africa to see some of the most beautiful animals in the world. Kilimanjaro Safaris brought Africa to central Florida. This is one of the best shows at Animal Kingdom.
senior citizens	Some seniors find the ride in the truck a little bumpy for them, but this is one of the major attractions at Animal Kingdom. The sites are simply breath taking.

Disney World Tip:

On Kilimanjaro Safari you can ride the same truck 50 times and you will see something different every time. You are really riding in an open truck around wild animals so their behavior is always different.

The Kilimanjaro Safari is the main attraction that Animal Kingdom was built around.

The ride can feel different from day to night and is very pupalr. It can be a great use of a Genie+ reservation.
