Universal Studios Hightlight: Marvel Super Hero Land
Visiting the Orlando area, and making a stop at Universal Studios? We invite you to gear up and come visit Marvel Super Hero Island located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Every adult will feel like a kid again, and every kid will feel like a superhero. You may even get to meet your favorite superheroes while visiting. With Marvel hero-themed attractions, stores, and character dinners, you can feel like you just stepped out of the pages of a comic book (or stepped into one). As you walk the streets into this super area, you’ll be met with architecture and color schemes that practically scream comic books.
Looking for a thrill ride, hop on board the Hulk Coaster where you’ll get your adrenaline pumping. You’ll be launched at speeds of over 60 miles per hour, fall through seven inversions, and rock out to the sounds of Patrick Stump from Fallout Boy. The whole coaster is drenched in a green hue, but watch out for that gamma radiation!
Storm Force Acceleration
Next journey over to Storm Force Acceleration. This teacup spinning ride encourages you to use your superhero strength. You’ll spin up a storm in order to help X-Men Professor Xavier and Storm defeat the evil Magneto.
Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall
If you’re feeling your superhero strength, have a shot at Doctor Dooms FearFall. This ride shoots you 185 feet into the air. It then pulls you back up and down at nearly 40 miles per hour.
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
And if you catch a view of Spider-Man, you can head over to the Daily Bugle and ride The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. A mixture of a thrill ride and virtual attraction, once you put on your 3D glasses and fasten your belt inside the attraction vehicle, you’ll be fully immersed in the world of Spider-Man.
Captain America Diner
We know after all that saving the world, our superheroes will have worked up quite the appetite, and there are only a few places to satiate that super hunger. Need a quick meal, you can head over to Captain America Diner to get an all-American meal. Burgers, chicken fingers, and fries just taste better when you’re surrounded by comic book artwork. They even have vegetarian options.
There is also Café 4 which is a quick-service diner. Located inside the Baxter Building, you can pick up Italian-style food like meatball subs, fettuccine, and chicken Cesar salads.
Marvel Character Dinner
There is also the Marvel Character Dinner, which may be on hold temporarily due to Covid-19 restrictions, but you can check the websites for availability. When it’s available, you can mingle with Marvel’s favorite personalities. They provide a dinner buffet and tickets to meet the heroes will have to be purchased separately.
If the rides and food weren’t enough, there are many amazing Marvel stores to shop at for your favorite super merchandise. The Marvel Alterniverse Store, Spider-Man shop, Marvel Boutique, and a comic book shop. You can purchase anything from hero-themed bags, shirts, sweaters, jewelry, and more. Marvel land also has all the amenities you would need such as first-aid, ATMs, and lockers. So, don your cape and your superhero strength, reserve an Orlando hotel, and come save the world with us in Marvel Super Hero Island.
