The 3 Things You Must Know Before Planning a Wedding at Disney World
Many brides and grooms to-be can’t think of a more magical place to get married than Disney World, but too often they get swept away in the romance and forget to look at the practical side of things. The Knot did a great job offering some essential tips.
Obtaining Your Marriage License
The fee to obtain a Florida marriage license is $93.50 for those out of state, or $61 if both the bride and groom are Florida residents and if they both attend a premarital prep course. There isn’t a waiting period for non-Florida residents to get their marriage license. Once it’s issued it’s valid for 60 days and is good in the state of Florida only. There is no blood test required. You can get more information by contacting the Orange County Clerk of Courts Marriage License Division at 407-836-2067.
Choosing a Location
Choosing a location for the wedding isn’t as simple as deciding you want to do it at Disney. You’ll also need to find the right venue. There are many options, including Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, which is a nondenominational chapel with room for up to 300 guests. Disney Cruise Lines offer Weddings at Sea, but these can be hard to organize with a large group. There are tons of ways to personalize your wedding too, including a ride in Cinderella’s glass coach or a vintage Rolls-Royce.
Where to Stay
One of the challenges of hosting a destination wedding is ensuring everyone has a place to stay that’s within their budget. You’ll appreciate the range of hotel rooms available at Orlandovacation.com, and can even take advantage of vacation home rentals with as many as 6 bedrooms for as little as $99 per night.
