Regal Palms Spotlight: Vacation Home Community of the Month
You can book many great vacation homes through www.orlandovacation.com, but one of the biggest family pleasers is Regal Palms Resort. What makes this such a great vacation home community? Here are some of its best features:
Variety of Accommodations: Regal Palms Resort has both town homes and freestanding vacation homes, giving you a choice of the type of lodging that works best for your family. No matter which type you choose, you get all the comforts of a true home. Relax in the living area, dine on a freshly cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen, and rest up for the next big day at Walt Disney World in one of the multiple bedrooms.
You get so much more than a hotel room, yet the cost is extremely reasonable. You’ll find the perfect option for any travel party size, from a small family to a multi-generational group.
Amenities: Regal Palms Resort gives up to its name, with a variety of resort-level amenities on its grounds. Things start off with a 24-hour centralized guest reception area where you’ll be greeted personally, no matter what the hour. If your flight is delayed, you don’t have to worry about checking in and picking up your keys. Someone will be there for you.
The resort has a family oriented swimming complex with a water slide for excitement and a lazy river for relaxation. Need to kick the “relax meter” up a notch? Hop into the bubbling bliss of the hot tub. There’s also a full service spa offering treatments like massages, facials, body scrubs, manicures, and pedicures. It’s the perfect spot for a mid-vacation break. The kids can play in the pools or game room while Mom gets pampered.
If you’re a golfer, you’ll love the proximity of the Highlands Reserve Golf Club, which is adjacent to the resort. There’s also a market right on the grounds that opens early and stays late for whatever necessities arise.
Location: Regal Palms Resort is in Davenport, which is just outside of the Orlando/Kissimmee area. It’s close the the western side of Walt Disney World, by Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That side of the Disney resort rarely gets big traffic jams like the side near Downtown Disney, so you’ll get to Disney property within minutes even during busier times of the year. Just take Highway 27 to Highway 192 and zip right across to Black Lake Road. That leads to Sherbeth Road, a little-know way to slip over to Disney.
Highway 27 is also the main hub to Legoland Florida. If you have kids below age 12 in your party, or if your youngsters are rabid Lego fans, it only takes about half an hour to get to Legoland from Regal Palms Resort.
You can take 27 to the I-4 expressway, too. There’s a huge shopping center, Posner Place, right by the expressway if you want to stock up on groceries and supplies. Going to Universal Orlando Resort or SeaWorld Orlando? I-4 is the way to get to the other Orlando attractions within minutes.
