Bring Orlando Vacation To Your Living Room

Bring Orlando Vacation To Your Living Room

As a family run business for over 30 years who specializes in the Orlando area, here at orlandovacation.com we know many families book Orlando Hotels and Orlando Vacation Home Rentals with us each year to visit Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando. Unfortunately, with theme parks shut down due to COVID-19, many families had to cancel their Spring Break trips. Universal Studios has announced they will be closed until April 19th while other parks like Disney World will remain closed until further notice. Some cities have executed a stay at home order leaving many parents to work from home while their kids stay in with school canceled. Here at orlandovacation.com, we are missing the theme parks as well, but your family won’t be disappointed for much longer! Visiting the Orlando Theme Parks in person is obviously the best experience, but we’ve found some activities that will help your family miss Orlando a little less until they reopen. If your children’s schools have a lack of educational activities, there are some educational fun for them to learn and keep them busy! Every morning Monday through Saturday at 10 AM Eastern Time, Gatorland, one of our Orlando attractions is hosting a Facebook live program called School of Croc. You will find this on Gatorland’s official Facebook Page where viewers can follow Savannah Boan, the Crocodilian Enrichment Coordinator and Social Media Director. Families all over the world can learn fun facts about amazing animals and adventures. It is more than just alligators! Other animal experts will join Boan throughout the program and incorporate crafts that kids can do at home. It is encouraged for families to send in questions and submit photos or videos of all the educational fun they will be having! School of Croc can be found here. If you can’t make the live events, don’t worry! Gatorland has a YouTube channel for those that need a more flexible schedule. Check them out One of the larger theme parks, SeaWorld Orlando also has some incredible resources with videos that families can enjoy. There are interactive activities like mimicking different sounds that animals can make, download informational guides for learning, or you can ask questions to their animal experts. Check them out here. If you’re ready to see and experience the animals in person, we offer SeaWorld Orlando tickets or bundle them with our Orlando Hotels to make it an Orlando Vacation Package. Besides educational fun, families are turning their living rooms into roller coasters. How? YouTube has some amazing videos you can stream on your TV in your living room that make you feel like you’re really on the ride! To make it an even more convincing experience, we have seen parents place their kids in a laundry basket in front of their television slightly rocking them back and forth to create a more realistic feel. You can search on YouTube for Disney virtual ride simulator and other parks like Universal Studios.  You can also bring Universal Studios to your back yard creating Jurassic World for example in your landscaping for a fun scavenger hunt. Ride their bikes pretending they are helping E.T. get home or make your own Butterbeer from Pinterest recipe boards to end a fun filled day. While this is only temporary, we know you’ll want to get to Orlando as soon as possible to experience everything our wonderful city has to offer in person. We offer the best deals on Orlando Hotels and Orlando Vacation Home Rentals. You will save more money on your Orlando Vacation when you bundle your lodging as a package with your Orlando Theme Park Tickets.
