With so much news about the Disney World and Universal Orlando parks around Christmas, it can be hard to find the needed info about SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration. Not only can we help you get the best deals on Orlando vacation packages, but we can offer you some tried and true tips to make the most of your visit to SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration.
1. Always pick up a map
The first thing you should do when you get through the gates is to grab a map. They print up a new one every single day so the show times will be up to date. You’ll use this map throughout the day to get from Point A to Point B and also to ensure you’re not missing out on any of the amazing Christmas shows they have planned.
2. Create an itinerary
SeaWorld Orlando is much smaller than other theme parks in the area and this can mean two things. First, it means a more laid back experience than you’ll have at other parks. Second, it can mean not adequately preparing because you assume it won’t be busy. The truth is that it’s best to have a basic itinerary once you see the who times. For example, here’s a basic itinerary that may or may not work for you, depending on the hours when you visit, but which will give you a good framework either way.
- 6 PM Go to the shops at Waterfront or the Christmas Market to see the Sea of Trees lit up
- 6:15 PM Bustle over to the Seaport Theater to see Elmo’s Christmas Wish
- 7 PM Get to the Nautilus theater for O Wondrous Night
- 7:45 Head to Shamu Stadium for Shumu Christmas Miracles
- 8:30 Watch the Winter Wonderland on Ice Holiday Reflections at Bayside Stadium
3. An alternative way to see the Sea of Trees
We do recommend that you make it a priority to see the Sea of Trees. Most people will head to the Christmas Market to see it, which is a great choice – but extremely crowded. If you’re not in a hurry to get to another attraction and you want to relax, consider going to the Sand Bar, ordering a drink, and seeing the Sea of Trees with an unobstructed view.
4. Keep an eye out for significant savings
Booking Orlando vacation packages is a great way to save on your entire vacation, but if you want to save on SeaWorld’s merchandise, keep an eye out for “Deal of the Week” in the Christmas Market. You may even find some great holiday gifts at incredible prices.
5. Warm up with a hot cocoa and get a souvenir
Grab a SeaWorld Christmas Celebration hot cocoa and keep the mug. This not only quenches your thirst and keeps you warm, but it’s a great way to get a souvenir too. Keep an eye out for lots of other holiday treats too, like the homemade S’mores.
6. Some of the merchandise is only available during Christmas
If you see merchandise you like, whether it’s a t-shirt, ornament, or collectible, remember that it may only be available during the holiday season. As a result, either buy it while you’re there or ask the staff if it’ll be available next year.
7. The Grab Bag game is a great way to get an inexpensive souvenir
If your kids can’t leave without a souvenir, consider the Grab Bag game. Held throughout the Christmas market, it’s $3 for once chance or $8 for three chances. Everyone wins something and there are some prices worth well more than what you paid.
8. The Polar Express train is a must-see
Whether you’re a fan of the book Polar Express or the movie “Polar Express,” you don’t want to miss checking out this train.
9. The toy soldiers offer one of the best pictures in the park
For a truly unique photo opportunity, look for the toy soldiers. They may look like statutes at first, but if you’re patient and keep your eyes open, they’ll give you a special show that’s worth the price of admission. Just make sure you have your camera ready to snap a photo.
10. Get a family photo inside the world’s biggest snow globe
Is it really the biggest slow globe in the world? It’s hard to say for sure, but what we do know is that this enormous prop is the perfect place to take an unforgettable family photo.
