Disney World Vacation and Rainy Days

If you are coming to Orlando, Florida for your family vacation, you probably think of Florida as always being hot and sunny. After all, Florida is called the "Sunshine State." But is does rain here in Orlando, but you do not have to allow that to put a damper on your family vacation.

If you were planning on going to one of the Disney Parks (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot Center, or Animal Kingdom) and it is raining too heavy, you should try Disney Quest which is located in Downtown Disney. You do not need a ticket to get into Downtown Disney but each person will need to get into Disney Quest. Disney Quest is the ultimate interactive indoor arcade and it's fun for the whole family. At Disney Quest you can build an entire virtual roller coaster and then, after you design it, you get to ride it.

Once the family gets hungry, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney also has an indoor movie theater and is home of Cirque Du Soleil's "La Nouba" which is entertainment like you have never seen it.

So, if the rain starts to poor on your Orlando vacation, don't let that spoil the fun at Disney because there is still plenty that your family can do.

A Disney Vacation that a Pirate would Love

If you have ever dreamt of being a pirate like Captain Jack Sparrow, then the Disney's Magic Kingdom has the experience for you. Disney's newest attraction has been dubbed "The Pirates League." Disney's newest attraction offers park visitors a total pirate make over that includes fake tattoos, swords, beard stubble, and a variety of pirate clothing options.

The Pirates League is located by the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction where familiar pirate music fills the air as park visitors are transformed into pirates by the swashbuckling Disney cast. Once transformed, our new pirates are ready to be officially sworn into The Pirates League in their hidden chambers. After being sworn in, new pirates are sent off in true pirate fashion.

The pirate transformation is available for both boy and girls from children to adults.

Rates for The Pirates League range from $50 to $125 per person. This is in addition to purchasing a ticket to the Magic Kingdom.
