One of the easiest ways to keep your kids active and entertained is a night at a mini golf course. One of the most popular mini golf courses in Orlando is located next to Wet N Wild on International Drive: Congo River mini golf. The challenging putting greens are just one aspect of the elaborate course layout at Congo River Golf. Other highlights of Congo River include live alligators,and the unique Congo River Mining experience, where you and your family can dig through gemstones, fossils and arrowheads buried in the dirt. Another popular course in Orlando is just around the corner from Walt Disney World resort: Pirate’s Cove Original Adventure Golf. Named by The original Pirates Cove which was built in Michigan, and it has been in for 20 years. Awarded by Orlando Magazine as the “Best in Florida” for Mini Golf, Pirate’s Cove has a distinct look in a lush tropical setting, complete with footbridges, waterfalls and caves. Each Memorial Day, Pirates Cove culminates a month-long tournament in a special event known as “Putting for Patriots.” The annual fundraiser supports three major charities that benefit families of fallen military members.
