Dining at Disney World

If you and your family would like to eat in one of the nicer restaurants at Disney World, you should first book a reservation. Some families book their reservations as far as 180 days ahead of time. Demand for the dining experience at the better restaurants in Disney World is high. So, if you were hoping to dine at the restaurant of your choice on the spur of a moment at the Disney theme parks, you may want to rethink your strategy.

If you do make your reservation in advance, be sure to make it to the restaurant a few minutes early. If you miss your reservation, your reservation will be cancelled and another party will take your spot and you will have to make other dining arrangements. Some of the restaurants will require a deposit at the time of making the reservation.

Advance reservations for themed dining experiences, such as having your family breakfast with Cinderella at her Royal table, will require full payment when booking. Themed character dining is the most competitive for reservations so please book your meal plenty in advance.

During a high season, without a reservation, you could easily wait up to 60 minutes for a table or more. During the slow season, you may be able to get in to the busier restaurants without having a reservation, but you are better off booking ahead of time because it's no fun walking and searching for something to eat when everyone is hungry.

On a last note, bring your confirmation number with you, just in case a problem arises at the restaurant concerning your reservation.

5 Quick Tips to selecting your best vacation rental

You want the best for you and your family on your Orlando vacation. In recent times, the trend is for vacationers to rent a home, condo or villa. If you find yourself in this category, then read on.

1. No clutter please. The home that you stay in should not be stuffer to the gills with furniture, pictures, decorations, nor overly decorated. The rental should contain essential furniture and appliances but not much more. With less items in the home, it is easier to make the home yours during your stay.

2. What does it come with? Ask before making your reservation and see if the rental offers a grill, desk furniture, utensils, a coffee maker and any other household items that you and your family may use. This will let you know what you do or do not have to pack for your vacation.

3. Pictures please. Check out lots of photos of the property online. Pictures are worth a thousand words. If you like what you see, you have found the one for your family.

4. Get the best deal. When you travel can greatly affect the price of the home you stay at. Summer and holidays tend to bring in the most travelers and pricing for the vacation home rental will often increase at this time. If you want a cheaper rate, make sure to ask for a time of season.

5. Location! Location! Location! Find out where the closet grocery store, restaurant, and shopping mall are at. And by the way, how far are we from the theme parks. Also, you may want to stay in a more secluded or private unit so be sure to take all of this in consideration before booking your stay.

What is today's Orlando Vacation Specials

I just got off the phone with a guest who wanted to know what specials we had on hotels. She had already seen the attractive rates on this site but she wanted to see if one was offering something better.

We have not seen rates like this that are advertised since back in the mid nineties. Back the average front desk person was earning 30% less than today. The maids back then were 40% less. The point I am driving at is that once an Orlando hotel has cut its rates to where they can’t make any money, the deal that is presently offered will probably be the best you will see for some time to come.

When the economy went into the tank in late fall of 2008, most hotels cut the rates for 2009 to the quick. Now, not all of them did this but a number jumped on the bandwagon right out of the shoot. Today, all properties have trimmed their rates to the lowest point we have seen in 15 years. Wouldn’t it be great if Detroit could roll prices back to 15 years ago? We probably wouldn’t have to be talking about bailouts for them for they would still be selling cars.

The special today depends on the hotel you want. On this site we pride ourselves in offering only the very best properties in the Disney World Market area for the absolute lowest price. Simply put we took a page out of the Wal Mart book and made it our model. Name brand, quality at low wholesale prices….oh, I almost forgot….we went one step further and threw in outrageous service.

Let us be the first to welcome you to all the “magic”!!
