Keeping the cost down on your Disney World vacation

Here are five money saving tips to keep the cost of your Disney World vacation to a minimum:
1. Get the base tickets- If you call most Disney World ticket providers, they will tell you to get the Disney World Hopper tickets...I couldn't disagree any more. Why? Simple, the Hoppers are around $45 more per person, and it has been said that 60% of the guests who buy the Hoppers never use them. In addition, all base tickets can be upgraded when you get here if you really want to hop from park to park.

2. Plan your meals. Many restaurants run big specials if you eat before 5pm, some even offer buy 1 get 1 free deals.

3. Stay at an offsite hotel- Many of the hotels which are located right outside the main entrance to the Disney World Theme Park are offering rates at nearly half of what what it cost to stay inside the main gates.

4. Buy souvenirs at the end of your trip. Give your self time to shop around and find the one, two, or three special things you want to bring home with you. By waiting until the last day of your trip this will keep you from making impulse buys.

5. Shorten the length of your vacation. We know the way the economy is that a lot of families are forgoing their annual vacations. However, if you implement these few suggestions plus shorten the length of your vacation from say 5 days to 3 days, we think that a lot of families could cut hundreds of dollars out of their estimated cost. Plus, everybody needs a little R and R every once in a while.
