Dining at Disney World

If you and your family would like to eat in one of the nicer restaurants at Disney World, you should first book a reservation. Some families book their reservations as far as 180 days ahead of time. Demand for the dining experience at the better restaurants in Disney World is high. So, if you were hoping to dine at the restaurant of your choice on the spur of a moment at the Disney theme parks, you may want to rethink your strategy.

If you do make your reservation in advance, be sure to make it to the restaurant a few minutes early. If you miss your reservation, your reservation will be cancelled and another party will take your spot and you will have to make other dining arrangements. Some of the restaurants will require a deposit at the time of making the reservation.

Advance reservations for themed dining experiences, such as having your family breakfast with Cinderella at her Royal table, will require full payment when booking. Themed character dining is the most competitive for reservations so please book your meal plenty in advance.

During a high season, without a reservation, you could easily wait up to 60 minutes for a table or more. During the slow season, you may be able to get in to the busier restaurants without having a reservation, but you are better off booking ahead of time because it's no fun walking and searching for something to eat when everyone is hungry.

On a last note, bring your confirmation number with you, just in case a problem arises at the restaurant concerning your reservation.
