In 2000, a large sculpture of Mickey's hand holding a gigantic wand was erected next to Spaceship Earth at Epcot. Many Disney fans found the placement of the rather large statue to take away from the beauty of the architecture. Apparently, Disney also agreed as the entire sculpture is going to be taken down over the next couple of months. The process should be finished in time for Epcot's 25th anniversary in October.
