haunted mansion closed for renovation

For everyone traveling to Disney between now and September, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the ever popular ride the haunted mansion is closed for renovations. The ride is experiencing its first major overhaul which includes some technology updates and a few new ghosts. Disney World vice president of Magic Kingdom, Phil Holmes, said that it is difficult to decide on a 3 month window to close a ride, because the off-season crowds have begun to equal the sesonal crowds. But, right now, most other rides are open, so the company decided that this would be the best time to close the rides. As with pirates and its a small world, which were both closed last summer for renovations, visitors may at first be disappointed, but in the long run, they will appreciate and even grow to love the ride even more with the new additions.
