When Walt Disney first began designing Disneyland and later The Walt Disney World Resort, he dreamed of creating an actual town. Well, in 1996, Walt's dream became a reality when the town of Celebration, Florida, was officially founded. The first phase of this massive construction project included 350 residences, two office buildings, fourteen businesses in the town center, a 150-bed medical center, a school, a teaching academy, and a golf course (which is open to the public). After the completion of this first phase, additional phases were subsequently built, transforming this into a thriving community.
