Renting a Car in Orlando vs. Shuttle Service

One of the biggest questions we are asked by our clients who are flying in is weather or not they should rent a car or take the shuttle service from the airport. The answer is simple: rent a car. Many people are quite surprised to hear that the Disney World area is 22 minutes from the airport, and shuttle service can cost a family of 4 around $ 45 each way or $ 90 round trip.

When you break this out most car rental companies will offer economy cars for around $ 22 a day. So for a 5 day stay it will cost the family with taxes and everything around $ 120 for the car. This is only $ 30 more than they would have spent if they paid for the shuttle service and they have the use of the car while they are on vacation.
