Orlando continues its domination as the largest rental car market in the world and is known as the capital of car rental companies, with all major car rental companies easily accessible from the airport. All major car rental companies are located inside the Orlando airport or nearby.

Renting a car makes for a very convenient way for you and your family to get around while in Orlando. The roads here in Orlando are all fairly wide and easy to drive on with all the major areas signposted.

If you are arriving via Orlando's International Airport and you are renting a car, head to the North Exit and jump on SR 528 West in order to get to Walt Disney World, International Drive, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. This trip will require $ 1.25 in tolls. A nice shortcut to get to Walt Disney World is via the South Exit to SR 417 South, follow it to Exit 5, and take SR 536 straight into Disney. This requires only $ 2 in tolls.

While in Orlando, you will soon notice that the main tourism area is the International Drive area, a strip of road that runs just parallel to Interstate 4 for about 10 miles. All the tourist areas are just off of I-4.

To get to the beaches on the East Coast, like Cocoa Beach, as well as the cruise terminals of Port Canaveral, take SR 528, the Beach Line Expressway, which is I-4 Exit 72.
